Sara Sajjad - Interviews Contributor

Sara began volunteering for WiFP in 2019 as the WiFP Newsletter Manager. She led the production and deployment of the bi-monthly newsletter to WiFP subscribers, publishing over 35 newsletters, featuring think pieces by 30 different guest writers from over 15 different countries. She now volunteers for the Editorial Team as an Interviews Contributor where she hopes to continue promoting diverse voices and intersectional content.

She holds an MSc in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science and has previously graduated with a First Class Honours BA in International Relations. During both degrees she specialised in gender and women’s rights in South Asia.   

Currently, Sara is a Civil Servant for the UK Government - based in the incoming COP26 Presidency Team . The UK will host the 26th UN climate summit, bringing together parties to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. She works in the team leading the UK’s international engagement and diplomacy with parties in order to deliver ambitious climate action and a successful UN climate summit. 

She is interested in championing climate action, human rights and inclusivity.
