Lara Twerenbold - Interviews Contributor
/Lara Twerenbold is an undergraduate student from Zurich, currently studying International Relations at the University of Geneva. Working as a Junior Associate for the gender programme at Foraus Switzerland, Lara is passionate about the intersection of gender and foreign policy, as well as digitalisation and structural inequality.
Having co-founded the non-profit organisation ‘Lotus for Laos’ in 2014, which aims at enabling school children to attend higher education, she has always been convinced that education is a way of empowering young men and women to a self-determined life.
Lara strongly believes that highlighting the careers and achievements of women of various backgrounds is not only an acknowledgement of their work, it also encourages young women to pursue a career in a male dominated field. Through her work as Interview Contributor at Women in Foreign Policy, she is hoping to inspire young female professionals to follow a career path in foreign policy, or any other field.
