Martha Bowler - Newsletter and Interviews Contributor
/Raised between Italy, France and England, Martha is currently an intern at the Ocean&Climate Platform in Paris, France, working at the intersection of Science and Policy. She holds a Master of Science in Global Health and Development at UCL. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Durham University. Martha has worked in special education, teaching science and addressing health inequities to pupils from deprived areas.
She is passionate about climate change and health and hopes to work in foreign policy within this field herself, thus improving health, economy and the environment. In this aim, Martha has interned at 23red, an advertising agency, which focuses on improving health nationally through behaviour change campaigns.
Martha is hoping to bring a more healthcare-related perspective to the interviews and newsletters, as it is a challenging industry for recent graduates. She is excited to interview inspirational leaders in their fields and to inspire and support others with similar goals. She believes this will bridge the gap between ambitious women and a successful career in foreign policy, and create a ripple effect for continuous inspiration and support across a wider network. Finally, she would like to meet academics who research the importance of female presence in foreign policy, hopefully boosting their confidence to enter the field.
