Zeinab Drabu - Events Officer
/Zeinab Drabu is a civil servant working in the UK Affairs team based in the Government of Jersey London Office, where she supports the development of political, socio-cultural, and economic links between Jersey and the UK, Jersey’s closest international partner.
She has a strong interest in and passion for international relations and diplomacy. She has previously held policy roles as a Parliamentary Researcher at the House of Lords and the European Court of Auditors, the EU’s independent external auditor. Her policy interests are wide-ranging and include climate and sustainability, human rights, conflict resolution, international trade, and the intersection between technology and foreign policy.
She graduated with an MSc Merit in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2019 and a first-class honours B.A. in German and International Relations from the University of Leeds in 2017.
Zeinab is passionate about challenging the limited diversity of representation prevalent in political organisations. She is excited to be part of the WIFP Events team and looks forward to organising a range of events to improve access to careers advice and like-minded role models for women from all backgrounds to ensure they feel supported and empowered to pursue and progress in a career in foreign policy.
