Olivia Flynn - Events Officer
/Since graduating with a first class degree in International Relations, I have gone on to live and work in China and Australia within international NGOs. I have assisted on projects delivered by the UK National Commission for UNESCO and currently work in the international affairs industry. I have a strong focus on international politics and foreign policy as a whole. I am predominantly interested in Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on gendered security and development. I am working towards my HSK 3 in Mandarin Chinese as I have a keen interest in linguistics, especially indigenous language preservation work.
When I am not working, I am volunteering with my local Girl Guiding unit, providing educational and emotional development for the largest UK charity supporting girls and women and enjoying all the wonderful ideas young girls come up with on how to make the world a better place. I am dedicated to practising and promoting anti-racist and intersectional feminist approaches within the Foreign Policy sector and my daily life, as a result I am an avid reader.
Later this year I will undertake my postgraduate studies in Gender, Peace & Security at the London School of Economics where I hope to explore my interests at the intersection of gender and security.
